Dashlane Password Manager Adds VPN, Dark Web Monitoring

Think Dashlane is merely a countersign manager? Think again.

The company on Thursday released Dashlane vi, which goes beyond helping you lot keep track of your passwords. The service features a new Identity Dashboard, which serves as a central hub where you can become an "overview of your password wellness," view any active security alerts, and gear up premium features.

Those premium features include a virtual individual network and dark web monitoring. The VPN encrypts your online activeness when you're connected to unsecured Wi-Fi networks to finish snoops from stealing your personal information. The latter feature will monitor the dark web for your personal data and send you an alert if it finds annihilation, and so you can accept action to protect your account.

Dashlane has three tiers: the complimentary version lets you manage upwardly to 50 passwords on a single device; the $four.99 monthly Premium plan offers unlimited password storage across all your devices plus night web monitoring, the VPN, and 1GB of storage for sensitive files you want encrypted.

With this update, the company is also introducing a new $9.99 monthly Premium Plus plan in the The states, which includes everything in the Premium plan plus credit monitoring and identity restoration services, and upward to $1 million of identity theft insurance. Keep in listen that both Premium and Premium Plus are billed annually, so you'll pay for 12 months upfront.
